This past Monday night we held our second anual volleyball banquet. We had 72 people come out to celebrate another successful year for the volleyball program. This year our record was 24-7. Of those seven losses, two of them were to ranked teams and only three of them came to a conference opponent (all the same one...).
Four of our athletes were honored with all-conference recognition. Ashley and Kelley were both voted to the first team (Kelley was voted unanimously). Marissa was voted to the second team and Amanda was awared with the Libero of the Year. To be honest, I believe that two more of our athletes could have had a great shot at being an all-conference selection.
As coaches, we really had a great time this season. We had very little drama to deal with, and very rarely had to push them to succeed. This team really did most of it on their own. They are a great bunch of your ladies and we are already looking forward to next year. Spring training started this week!
